-What sizes do labels come in?
Labels come in any size that is required.
-What’s the biggest Label you can make?
Approximately 1200mm x 600mm.
-Do the letters come in different colours?
Letters and labels are available in most colours.
-Do you have different coloured Material?
We have a variety of colours in trafolyte and PVC.
-What type of material should I use for my labels?
It depends on whether your application is inside or outside.
-How thick is traffolyte?
Trafolyte is a compressed laminate and is 1.6mm thick.
-How thick is PVC?
PVC is 1.5mm thick.
-What colours do you have?
We have white, black, blue, red, yellow and green. Other colours are available.
-How long will it take to have the labels ready?
We work on a 2 –3 work day turn around.
-I've got an urgent order can you help me?
All urgent orders will be given necessary priority.
-Can I get some labels made today?
Provided the order is not too large.
-Can you Drill holes in the labels for me?
Yes. Labels are often better drilled on the engraving table.
-Can you mark where the holes have to go on a label?
Yes. A small dot will indicate where holes should go.
-Can you make the labels with a sticky back?
Rapid Engraving can place double sided tape on any label.
-Do you put double-sided tape on your labels?
Yes, we use a brand of tape called TESA.
-How good of quality is your double-sided tape?
Through trial and error, TESA stacks up as a superior brand.
-How can I attach my labels?
Labels can be screwed or taped to most surfaces.
-Can you position text anywhere on a label?
We can position the text anywhere required.
-What is traffolyte?
Trafolyte is a compressed laminate with a glossy finish.
-What is PVC?
PVC is polyvinyl chloride and is a material comprising various resins.
-What is Matte PVC?
Matte PVC describes the outer surface of the material.
-What is Textured PVC?
Textured PVC is PVC which has been treated to withstand UV rays.
-What is the difference between Matte and Textured PVC?
Matte PVC should not be used externally.
-Is PVC UV treated?
Only Textured PVC is UV tolerant.
-Is PVC suitable for outdoor use?
Textured PVC only.
-Is Acrylic Suitable for outdoor use?
There are some acrylics that are UV tolerant.
-What finish does traffolyte have?
Gloss or Matte finish.
-Why use PVC material instead of traffolyte?
Some engraving applications dictate the material.
-Do you engrave stainless steel?
We engrave stainless steel grade 304.
-Do you engrave Brass?
We use engraving brass which is slightly softer than some brass.
-Do you engrave Aluminium?
We engrave in aluminium.
-Do you engrave Switch plates?
Most switch plates can be engraved.
-Do you engrave Switch surrounds?
All switch panels can be created.
-Do you engrave Light switch mechanisms?
Yes we do.
-Do you engrave Plaques?
Rapid Engraving has a superior reputation for their plaque engraving. We supply to universities, hospitals and casinos.
-Do you engrave Acrylic?
Yes. Acryllic is quite common for boating applications.
-Do you engrave Rating Plates?
Yes we engraved rating plates in trafolyte or stainless steel.
-Do you engrave Name Badges?
Yes we can.
-Do you engrave Key Tags?
We can engrave some key tags but we prefer to supply the material.
-Do you engrave Electrical Labels?
Absolutely, we have a few examples on our website.
